January in Pictures ....

.... just to post something visual, as I don't have a lot to write.  Well, I do have one thing to write about, but I'm waiting a bit .... I need to get a few pictures to go with the post.  A really good post (well, good for me anyway.  :)

So here, my Peeps, are my boring vacation pics from Las Vegas:

               On the way to the hotel from the airport.  Boy, did my hopes soar!  Only to be dashed upon finding out he wasn't doing a show while we were there.  Bummer.

            We were walking through a casino and I stopped on a whim.  Vern sat at this machine and maybe pulled the handle 4 times before this came up.

            Which gave us this and made us giddy!

     We went to the wax museum.  Ummmm ..... need I say more?  :)

      This is our table at the top of the Eiffel Tower restaurant.  The table butted up against the window.  Such an amazing view!

      And the the water/light show began at the Bellagio across the street.....

                         Walking about town:

              All dressed up for a wedding!  "Tony & Tina's Wedding", an interactive show.  It was fun.

                Our pilot for the helicopter ride over and into the Grand Canyon.

        We got front row seats!  Which means yes, I sat next to the pilot.  ;-)

       I won't be training to be a pilot any time soon.  WAY too many buttons and screens!

        We landed at the bottom and had lunch.

                   I couldn't resist .....

          That was one heavy handle!!  And it gave me nothin'.  But it was fun.  :)

So there you go ..... the highlights of Vegas.  Or at least our trip to Vegas.  I had wanted to go to the Elvis wedding chapel and take pictures, leaving you to think we had run off and done the "deed" ..... but we never made it.  Dang!  I wanted to see the drive-thru window!  Seriously, you can get married in your car, much the same way you order a cheeseburger and fries.

I've had a busy weekend.  And figured out Friday that the bladder infection hasn't gone anywhere.  So now I am on round 4 of antibiotics, which makes me feel nauseous a great deal of the time.  I think it's time to find out what's really going on.

The kids are all good .... Son #2 seems to be having a great time.  And now he and Son #3 are hanging out together much more than when they lived together.

Go figure.
